Recruitment policy

This section specifies the classes and days for which the guild is presently recruiting raiders, as well as the those requirements that should be met by any applicant.

Currently recruiting: Defiler / Wizard or Warlock / Warden or Fury / Illy

We also have back up raider spots open for most classes except mages. For more info please contact an officer.

Raider minimum requirements

Any applicant who is aspiring to take a permanent raid spot on the successful completion of their trial period should meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Be able to attain a minimum attendence of 80% for those days rostered to raid, based on a 30-day average. The guild aims to be equitable in accommodating a reasonable amount of vacation time for extended breaks, but outside of this it is generally expected that raiders will attend predictably.
  • Be level 90 with a minimum of 270 alternate advancement points, which must be specced according to raiding optimums.
  • Have all spells or combat arts that are frequently used in at least Expert quality; preferably in Master quality for crucial spells or combat arts.
  • Be able to achieve a 20k resist in any 2 of the 3 resist types concurrently without losing significant role-specific capability.
  • Have completed the enervation of your epic weapon.
  • Be able to fairly comprehensively understand the English language both in written and spoken form.
  • Be a minimum of 18 years of age.

In some cases, the guild may slightly relax some of these minimum requirements, placing a target date during the trial period by which they must be met.

If you are an exceptional player who meets our minimum requirements and you are serious about joining, you'll probably want to review our raid rules and loot policy, and then register on our forum and complete the application form. Good luck with your application.

Non-raider minimum requirements

Any applicant looking to join the guild only for grouping, social or questing reasons, perhaps with the occasional desire to fill in on raids, should meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Be personally known to at least one current full member of the guild, either through real-life acquaintancy or as a long-standing friend in game.
  • Be able to communicate proficiently in the English language in written form. Note that the guild is not generally keen on non-English speaking in guild chat, as it can cultivate a feeling of exclusion among members who are not able to understand.
  • Be a minimum of 18 years of age. Note that this requirement may be considered to be skipped for family members of current full members. Such a decision will be made exclusively by the guild leaders after discussion surrounding the appropriateness on a case-by-case basis.

Applicants looking to join as non-raiding members should bear in mind that although there is no minimum level requirement for joining, most existing members spend the majority of their time playing maximum-level characters, so opportunities for grouping may be somewhat scarce.

If you are interested in joining, you'll need to register on our forum and complete the application form. Good luck with your application.

Trial period

After an application has been posted, subsequent to an invitation being accepted by them, an applicant will typically be entered in to a 14-day trial period for members or 28-day trial period for raiders.

Nearing the end of the trial period, a further consultation will be entered in to with current full members. The feedback therefrom, in combination with observations made by the leadership team throughout the trial, will be used to decide whether the applicant should be made a full member. In the event that the trial is failed, the applicant will either have their trial extended or be removed from the guild.

Applicants specifically joining to raid should be aware that their raid attendence must reflect the days for which they are aspiring to take a permanent position. Note that no guarantee can be offered that at the successful completion of the trial, the applicant will definitely receive the rostered days they have requested.
